The FBM Noise (Fractal Brownian Motion) procedural texture produces a 3D noise pattern similar to the FBM Flow Noise but with fewer parameters (figure 2).

FBM Noise Parameters

Time - Animates the FBM Noise effect.

Octaves - Changes the number of octaves over which the noise function is calculated, otherwise known as frequencies.

UVW Transform - Positions, scales, and rotates the surface texture.

Projection - Sets how the texture projects onto the surface.
