The Tile Patterns texture map generates various tile-like patterns depending on the pattern type selected (figure 1).

Tile Patterns Parameters

Type - Determines the pattern type.

Tile Color 1 - Determines the first color used for the pattern.

Tile Color 2 - Determines the second color used for the pattern.

Line Color - Determines the color between the two tile colors.

Line Width - Determine the width of the line between the two tile colors.

UVW Transform - Positions, scales, and rotates the surface texture.

Projection - Sets how the texture projects onto the surface. The projection default is the Mesh UV projection type which has a UV Set parameter to determine which UV set to use for projection. If other projection types are selected, additional parameters could include:

  • Coordinate Space - Determines the coordinate space for the texture map.
  • Use Rest Attribute - Prevents texture sliding, swimming, or distortion on animated and deforming meshes by locking coordinates to an base frame.
