The Stripes texture node generates a stripe pattern consisting of a base color and two stripe color parameters (figure 1).

Figure 1: The Stripes node and it's associated parameters

Stripes Parameters

Base Color - Determines the base color underlying the other stripe colors.

Stripe Color 1 - Determines the color of the vertical stripe.

Stripe Color 2 - Determines the color of the horizontal stripe.

Blur - Softens the edges of the stripes.

Thickness 1 - Determine the width of the vertical stripe.

Thickness 2 - Determines the width of the horizontal stripe.

UVW Transform - Positions, scales, and rotates the surface texture.

Projection - Sets how the texture projects onto the surface. The projection default is the Mesh UV projection type which has a UV Set parameter to determine which UV set to use for projection. If other projection types are selected, additional parameters could include:

  • Coordinate Space - Determines the coordinate space for the texture map.
  • Use Rest Attribute - Prevents texture sliding, swimming, or distortion on animated and deforming meshes by locking coordinates to an base frame.
