The Smooth Voronoi Contours texture node generates a Voronoi pattern that is typically used for fractured shapes, however, this node generates a smoothed version of a Voronoi fracture (figure 1).

Smooth Voronoi Contours Parameters

Frequency - Determines the base color underlying the other iridescent colors.

Time - The animation time stamp used to pan the textures across a surface.

Glossy - Adjusts the color swatches to provide a glossy-friendly Voronoi pattern.

UVW Transform - Positions, scales, and rotates the surface texture.

Projection - Sets how the texture projects onto the surface. The projection default is the Mesh UV projection type which has a UV Set parameter to determine which UV set to use for projection. If other projection types are selected, additional parameters could include:

  • Coordinate Space - Determines the coordinate space for the texture map.
  • Use Rest Attribute - Prevents texture sliding, swimming, or distortion on animated and deforming meshes by locking coordinates to an base frame.
