The Snow Effect procedural texture produces a blurry snow-like pattern (figure 1).

Snow Effect Parameters

Time - Provides control over animating the texture effect.

Radius - Determines the size of the snow flakes.

Flake Count - Specifies the number of snow flakes.

Blizzardness - Determines the direction and shape of the snow flakes.

UVW Transform - Positions, scales, and rotates the surface texture.

Projection - Sets how the texture projects onto the surface. The projection default is the Mesh UV projection type which has a UV Set parameter to determine which UV set to use for projection. If other projection types are selected, additional parameters could include:

  • Coordinate Space - Determines the coordinate space for the texture map.
  • Use Rest Attribute - Prevents texture sliding, swimming, or distortion on animated and deforming meshes by locking coordinates to an base frame.
