Problem:

OctaneRender® is not licensed.

Solution:

You entered your customer details incorrectly into the licensing system. If you suspect a problem, contact us at [email protected].

 

 

Problem:

OctaneRender® is not activated.

Solution:

Either your license has not been processed, or the current OTOY® account is logged out, or your operating system has an update, which causes issues with previous builds of OctaneRender®. Check for the status of the actual license key through the OTOY® website online customer area at https://render.otoy.com/account/. If you suspect a problem, contact us at [email protected].

 

 

Problem:

Persistent error: “Your license was deactivated or expired and there is not another one available...”

Solution:

There may be one of these issues involved:

Using an older build of OctaneRender® that did not release its license correctly. Try downloading and installing the latest build of OctaneRender®.

Installing OctaneRender StudioTM instead of OctaneRender®, or vice-versa. We recommend uninstalling the OctaneRender StudioTM versions and installing the latest OctaneRender® releases, or vice-versa.

Problem:

OctaneRender® cannot connect to the OctaneRender LiveTM servers, or error message “SSO server cannot be found” appears.

Solution:

This could be due to either of these issues:

  • This error is caused when OctaneRender® cannot connect to our account servers (account.otoy.com), please disable the firewall temporarily. Also, if you are in a corporate proxy environment, please verify that you have configured your proxy settings correctly. Refer to the topic on HTTP Proxy Support in this manual, and for the option for a static IP, contact [email protected].
  • Your customer details have been incorrectly entered by either you or members of the OctaneRender® team into the licensing system. If you suspect a problem, contact us at [email protected].
