The Volume to Texture node provides a way to convert an imported VBD file into texture map data (figure 1). There is an additional Grid ID parameter that determines what data from the incoming VBD file will be used to generate the texture map.

Parameters

    • VDB - The VDB or levelset VDB to read.
    • P transform - Position coordinate transformation.
    • Projection - Projection type to use for this texture.
    • Grid ID - Which grid to read from the VDB. Applies only if the node connected to the VDB input is a Volume node.
    • Grid name - Name of the grid to read from the VDB, if "Use grid name" is selected above. You have to make this grid available in the volume import preferences.
