Material Output
The Material Output node is used to send surface shading, volume shading, or geometric data to an object (figure 1).

Material Output PARAMETERS
Render Type - Specifies a render engine. You can set up different node networks for each engine.
Surface - Accepts a surface type as input.
Volume - Accepts a volume type as input.
Displacement - Accepts nodes that can be used for displacement data.
Thickness - Input pin for Eevee features such as subsurface scattering, translucency, etc.
