The Hagelslag texture node produces a random candy sprinkle texture (figure 1).

Hagelslag Parameters

Density - Determines the number of sprinkles added to the texture map.

Random Seed - Changes the sprinkle pattern across a surface.

Sprinkle Radius - Determines the thickness of the sprinkle shapes.

Sprinkle Length - Determines the length of the sprinkle shapes.

Mask Texture - Sets the color of the sprinkle shapes.

UVW Transform - Positions, scales, and rotates the surface texture.

Projection - Sets how the texture projects onto the surface. The projection default is the Mesh UV projection type which has a UV Set parameter to determine which UV set to use for projection. If other projection types are selected, additional parameters could include:

  • Coordinate Space - Determines the coordinate space for the texture map.
  • Use Rest Attribute - Prevents texture sliding, swimming, or distortion on animated and deforming meshes by locking coordinates to an base frame.
