Currently, the USD Render ROP is used to render out images or animation sequences from Solaris™. However, there is an Octane-Specific ROP currently under development which will be included in future releases. The current USD Render ROP requires a Render Settings node to be targeted in the Render Settings parameter. Additionally, when rendering an animation sequence, the typical $F expression needs to be replaced with <F4> in the image name (figure 1).
