Objects that are not Supported

The current build of OctaneRender® for SideFX® Solaris™ supports most but not all Octane objects imported from the OBJ network (SOPs) environment. This might change as the plugin undergoes further development. The following Octane-specific objects found in SOPs will not work in the Solaris (LOPs) environment.

• Octane-specific lights - It is recommended to design lighting solutions directly in the LOPs environment where Octane supports the native LOPs lights and each light will have Octane-specific parameters.
• Octane Render Target - A render target operator from SOPs is not supported since all render functionality needs to be specified using a Render Settings node in LOPs.
• Octane ROP - A render operator node from SOPs is not supported since all rendering parameters are specified using a USD Render ROP in the LOPs environment.
