The SketchUp plugin has access to the OctaneRender online materials LiveDB
Most materials contain textures with images. SketchUp can not store any images to a scene, so every image will be saved to a temporary path in the User folder. Select category, then select material. There are ~700 materials and it can get difficult to navigate over categories at times so you can use Search Bar for a quick material lookup:
Note: LiveDB materials take some time to download. Please wait until Sketchup plugin finishes the process. Once downloaded Live DB material is placed in the “Scene” tab. Also, after being downloaded once materials will cached in the temp folder for instant access in the future.
