Moving Octane .rvt File Assets to Another PC
When you move a .rvt file to another PC (ie; from your work PC to your home PC), you will need to also copy the Octane assets. These assets are moved as follows:
- Revit scene file – doesn’t matter when you is copied to on your home PC
- Revit texturemaps – these should be in the same folder on your home PC as at work (ie. C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Autodesk Shared\\)
- LiveDb texturemaps – these will be in the folder specified in your plugin configuration – so set this to the same folder on both PC’s and copy the files across
- OCS/ Proxies – – these need to be on the same folders on both PC’s. So suggest storing them in c:\ProgramData\OctaneRender\ForRevit\myProjectName, so that whole folder structure can copied/sync’d between PC’s
- Other Texturemaps and Proxies – these need to be on the same folders on both PC’s. So suggest storing them in c:\ProgramData\OctaneRender\ForRevit\myProjectName, so that whole folder structure can copied/sync’d between PC’s
