OctaneRender® for Nuke provides two types of material databases. The LiveDB is an extensive database with pre-bult materials available for download (figure 1). The LocalDB is a place on a local system where materials can be stored for later use.

The material databases can be accessed from the Scene Outliner (figure 2). If the Scene Outliner is not present in the OctaneRender interface, it can be opened from the Windows menu (figure 3).
