Context Menus in the Octane Nodes

The Octane nodes have a set of custom context menus to make possible the creation and edition of complex node trees only with mouse clicks. To open this menu, right click over the Octane nodes. The root node of the render target node editor also has a custom context menu to provide direct access to nodes and config tools.

Some menus are sensitive to the click position, to link the added node to the input parameter under the cursor.

This are some of the tools included in the context menus:

“Default setup” feature and all the render target nodes in the Render Target Root node
Get “Texture Image node” in the DayLight and Texture Environment nodes
Get “Projection node” in the TextureImage node
“Link to Surface” option in all the Octane MaterialThe representation of the surface or volume properties of an object. nodes ouput pins
Material nodes in the Octane Material Mixer materials input pins
Texture, Texture Tools and Procedural nodes in the Octane MaterialsA set of attributes or parameters that describe surface characteristics. texture input pins
DisplacementThe process of utilizing a 2D texture map to generate 3D surface relief. As opposed to bump and normal mapping, Displacement mapping does not only provide the illusion of depth but it effectively displaces the actual geometric position of points over the textured surface., Emission and Medium nodes in the Octane Materials input pins
