C4D Shaders

 

This tool allow for the conversion of native C4D shaders to OctaneRender material formats (figure 1). This option will convert a selected shader's procedural texture maps to an Octane-specific texture (Texture bake). It also works with UV mapped shaders.

Enable

Used to activate this feature.

 

Render size

The resolution used when converting any shader from Cinema 4D format (figure 2).

Float Texture for Standard & DisplacementThe process of utilizing a 2D texture map to generate 3D surface relief. As opposed to bump and normal mapping, Displacement mapping does not only provide the illusion of depth but it effectively displaces the actual geometric position of points over the textured surface. Use this feature if the shader has to be 32 bit color depth. It will consume 4x Vram as you see in the warning.

 

CPU Cores

Specifies how many of the available CPU cores are used for the baking process.
