License upgrade

Unless you have a subscription license, you will have to upgrade your version 3 licenses to version 4. This upgrade is free and can be done via these 4 steps:

Out-of-CoreWhen scene assets become too large to load completely onto the system’s GPU, Out-of-Core technology allows the render engine to utilize the CPU to assist in the rendering process. Geometry Support

This Octane 4 feature is supported via the Out of Core settings on the Cuda Devices tab.

The Cuda Devices tab has had the individual graphics card control moved into the Octane panel accessed via the "Open Device Settings" button.

AI Denoiser

The Octane 4 Spectral and Volumetric Denoisers are accessed in the plugin from the Settings tree->Imager->Enable Denoising. It is recommended to leave "Denoise Volumes" disabled/off, and "Denoise on Completion" enabled/on. To view the denoised pass, select "Denoised Beauty" from the renderpasses on Rendering tab.
