Limitations

 If there are multiple GDL materials in the scene which have the same material name, these materials will all be treated as one single Octane material.

Material picker does not work for Curtain Wall objects (go into edit mode to get materials for these elements)

 The ArchiCAD Perspective camera roll angle is not transposed to the Octane thinlens ‘up’ pin. If you need to rotate the render, manually adjust the ‘up’ vector.

 Image map rotation is not current supported by OctaneRender, so any rotation of texture maps in ArchiCAD materials is ignored in the texture conversion to Octane.

 Axonometry views are not supported. For orthographic renders, use a Perspective camera, and enable the ‘orthographic’ pin on the ‘camera’ node in the Settings Tab of the plugin.

 The Octane ‘checks’ node does not work correctly on slanted surfaces. Use a texture map instead.

 Navigating an ArchiCAD via the ‘Explore’ options does not work while the Octane Viewport is open.

 Due to a bug in ArchiCAD, after you exit to Proxy setup window, you cannot re-select that ArchiCAD object unless you move the camera, or switch to a 2d view

 Proxies will only render when using the OctaneRender Viewport. They will not render when using the ArchiCAD PhotoRender Projection

 ArchiCAD Surface names should be 30 characters or less. This is because the ArchiCAD API only returns the first 30 characters of a surface name.

 The OSL Camera node is not available in the plugin.

 Hair and Fur
In the OctaneRender for ArchiCAD Plugin it is not likely to create Hair and Fur and compared to the standalone this feature has its limitations. You can use the Grass Generator for creating geometry such as grass and carpet using the ‘hair strands’ for the grass or fabric and even add gradient to with the W coordinate texture.

TexturesTextures are used to add details to a surface. Textures can be procedural or imported raster files. → Procedural Geometric Generators → W Coordinate’ and
‘Octane ProxyAn object saved as a separate file with the purpose of being reused in larger scenes. This is used to minimize any addition to the total polygon count in the scene, especially if the scene requires the same object to appear several times. If used in conjunction with instancing, Proxies help keep very large scenes from reaching polygon limits and also keeps the relative file size of the main project file manageable. and ScatteringDefines how fast light gets scattered when traveling through the medium.InstancingInstancing an object means taking a single imported mesh object, such as an OBJ or an FBX and making multiple copies, each of which can be placed in different parts of the scene. This saves an enormous amount of computational resources because only a single object is loaded into the scene. / Scattering Proxy’

 The Gradient Texture is only partially supported by the plugin, and you can determine the gradient's start and end color. whereas in Standalone you can add many colors.
