The Check procedural texture is useful for making stripes, checker board and grid patterns. It is most useful when mixed with other textures.

Note: You change the ‘scale’ pins in the Node Parameters to control the different dimensions (x, y, z) separately. Locking them with the vertical bar you can scale the pins simultaneously.
