Texture Environment

The Texture environment affects the illumination and color of the environment. It can be used to add a HDRIAn image which presents more than 8 bit per color channel unlike most common image formats. environment texture to a scene for illumination. Texture Environment lighting can be set through the OctaneRender Effect > Render Settings > Environment:

After adding the Texture Environment node into the node tree, it is essential to tell After Effects that an Octane Node is being used for the environment. This is done by adding an Environment Out node and ensuring that the Texture Environment node is connected to this and the Render Target node:

The Texture parameter can accept a color (RGB), a value (Grayscale), or a texture map.
