Overview of Octane for After Effects
The integration of Octane in After Effects includes the following:
- Render scenes created with Octane Standalone or any of the Octane plugins. Any animated geometry or camera data from the ORBX file (in an ABC Scene Node) is tied to the After Effects timeline, so scrubbing the timeline will move the Octane time to the relevant point.
- Edit Octane materials and render settings via the Octane NodeGraph editor window. Changes made in the NodeGraph window update immediately in the After Effects viewer.
- Live updating of other After Effects elements transform changes to the Octane scene (and the After Effects Viewer). So if you make changes on an After Effects element, Octane picks the change up immediately – no need for a scene refresh.
- Access all Octane .
- Import Octane geometry (with embedded ABC and OBJ Mesh nodes) into the After Effects project scene for visualization purposes.
- Render animation sequences via the Octane node as you would with the After Effects Timeline.
- Focus, and White Balance are supported.
