Rendering

Additional rendering tools are explained in this section to help you control settings related to:

• Render AOVs
• Render LayersRender layers allow users to separate their scene geometry into parts, where one part is meant to be visible and the rest of the other parts “capture” the side effects of the visible geometry. The layers allow different objects to be rendered into separate images where, in turn, some normal render passes may be applied. The Render layers are meant for compositing and not to hide parts of the scene.
• Object Visibility
• Batch RenderingThe process of assigning sequential portions of frames to be rendered across multiple systems.
• Rendering for VRImmersively engaging and experiencing depth perception in a three dimensional scene through stereo vision goggles and head-mounted displays.
• Texture BakingA process in which scene lighting is "baked" into a texture map based on an object's UV texture coordinates. The resulting texture can then be mapped back onto the surface to create realistic lighting in a real-time rendering environment. This technique is frequently used in game engines and virtual reality for creating realistic environments with minimal rendering overhead.
• Deep ImageRenders frames with multiple depth samples in addition to typical color and opacity channels. Rendering
